Finally for once I feel peace, I feel comfort in my heart. it’s an amazing feeling really, the feeling of contentment, a feeling that doesn’t always stay for long but a feeling that is better than any other. the feeling that you know God is there, through everything whether you forget him or not, and he still loves you. And these constant hardships feel like you’re being punished when really it’s to strengthen you, making you learn so much valuable lessons in life and make your heart strengthen, making it easier to fight the next hardship. this is pure happiness, not the happiness that you gain from desires but the pure state of happiness that makes you want to smile for the rest of eternity, and nothing has to happen to cause it, you can just feel your heart holding the broken pieces together, enjoying it while it lasts. I know sometimes we feel as if we can’t handle life, and the only time we turn to our lord is when we’re suffering. But turn to your lord when you’re happy, when you feel light hearted, when you’re excited, and also when you feel numbness, when you’re angry, when you’re hurt, when you feel guilty. When you don’t feel anything,  turn to your lord as much as you can. Talk to your lord,  tell him how your day was, tell him about the person that you love, tell him about your ambitions, tell him what’s paining you. speak to God as if you could see him,  because who knows you better than your creator? no one. we often get so held up with life that we forget about the one that put us on this earth. don’t put anyone before your lord, because indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return. He is the one that will be there no matter what. He is the one that will never give up on us. so love your lord more than you can love anyone, before you love anything else. and love for the sake of your lord for that is the definition of real love.
